Concrete Pad Replacement in Little Italy (Toronto)

Removing existing concrete walkway sidewalk. Form up walkway area and add base aggregate. Install expansion joint along walls. Install wire mesh. Pour walkway using minimum 25 MPa concrete.

Float concrete smooth using magnesium trowels with slope away from both walls and graded towards street. Trim edges and add brush finish. Remove forms and remove and dump all debris.

Structural HSS Post Installation in Parkdale (Toronto)

Remove all debris or obstructions in way of existing beam access. Fasten timber plankage to interior joist work and install vertical iron shoring along complete length of existing beam/load bearing wall. Slowly begin lifting structure off of existing interior load bearing wall and secure the above structural load.

Once vertical structure and joist work is secured, remove existing beam/load bearing columns from basement and dispose.

Install fresh vertical iron posts and plates where applicable and pour specified concrete footings for HSS posts. Fasten new vertical posts to IBEAM with approved hardware. Once post footings are cured, remove shoring and rest structure onto new post/footings installations. Remove and dump all debris.

Foundation Wall Replacement in Roncesvalles (Toronto)

Excavate exterior walls by hand and install telescopic shoring to interior of joist work. Once structure is secured, excavate by hand to frost depth and remove existing foundation walls within repair area. Repair any damaged wooden joistwork with fresh sistered timber and pour fresh concrete footing at frost depth to a dimension 20” x 8“.

Once footing is cured, rebuild foundation walls with 10” block from base of footing to underside of existing joistwork. Once complete, parge fresh foundation walls and let cure. Once cured, prime foundation wall and apply hydroshield ruberized membrane waterproofing.

Fasten drainage board from grade to footing. Backfill and power tamp soil within repair area and reinstall patio slabs. Remove interior shoring and remove and dump all debris. All labour and materials included.

Structural Underpinning and Basement Waterproofing (Toronto)

Saw cut asphalt and excavate to footing. Excavate underpin by hand and clean underside of footing with wire brush. Apply masonry adhesive to underside of footing. Once underpin is carved and prepared, build and install timber forms to accommodate a positive concrete adhesion to the underside of existing footings (non-grout, overflow method) allowing for a void-less encapsulation of existing structure to fresh underpin. Fill forms with 25 MPa concrete until full and install needle vibrator. Once cured, remove timber forms.

Repair all cracks and masonry voids in foundation wall below grade. Once cured, apply AB-720-38 rubberized membrane to repair area. Add a layer of mastic mesh, another layer of AB-720-38 rubberized membrane, a layer of 12m plastic and fasten drainage board to grade with termination straps and concrete anchors.

Replace weeping tile system within repair areas and cover with 6″ of 3/4″ clear gravel. Backfill and power tamp dirt.

Outside Basement Waterproofing in Leslieville (Toronto)

Replace weeping tile system within repair areas and cover with 6″ of 3/4″ clear gravel. Backfill and power tamp dirt.

Carbon Fiber Foundation Reinforcement (Toronto)

Break open concrete floor and expose footing in proposed carbon fiber reinforcement installation areas. Remove all debris from concrete foundation wall and clean thoroughly. Expose sillplate/joistwork and prepare for hardware mounting. Drill 1″ hole in concrete footing and clean debris from hole.

Generously cover concrete wall with resin and install carbon fiber strips directly to foundation wall. Run carbon fiber overtop of exposed footing and curl base of strip into footing. Fill 1″ hole with resin and coat entire front side of carbon fiber generously with resin. Fasten top of carbon fiber into sill plate/joist work and tighten hardware.

Reinstall concrete floor. Remove and dump all debris. All labour and materials included.

Basement Entrance Replacement in the Junction (Toronto)

Fully demolish existing basement entrance and walls and dispose (complete removal/replacement of all basement entrance walls). Dig down to footings of structure by hand and install three underpins to engineer specified dimensions. Once cured, install telescopic jack to secure the above concrete pad and install 6” of 3/4“ gravel base throughout the excavation. Install 4” of styrofoam SM insulation and 15M rebar in mesh link pattern as to engineer specifications. Install concrete footing and float.

Once cured, begin reconstruction of complete basement entrance walls with 10“ cinderblock, blok-lock and 15M vertical rebar installations in specified block cores. Fill specified cores of blockwork with grout and parge exterior of fresh blockwork. Once wall rebuild is completed and cured, prime and waterproof exterior blockwork. Fasten drainage board to fresh blockwork and fasten styrofoam SM to exterior walls. Backfill soil on exterior of fresh block walls and form up new staircase with timber and appropriate rebar detail. Once prepared, pour new staircase and float.

Once complete, remove timber formwork and dispose. Remove existing concrete floor in cold room and pour new. Backfill all exterior walls and remove all debris. Refasten fence and secure. All labour and materials included.

Foundation Rebuild with Outside Basement Waterproofing (Toronto)

Outside Basement Waterproofing with Parging in Cabbagetown (Toronto)

Remove all debris and obstructions in way of repair areas. Lay down tarps and dig down to footing by hand in specified repair areas. Repair all cracks and masonry voids in foundation wall below grade and parge foundation wall with type-s masonry. Prime wall and apply rubberized membrane to repair area. Add a layer of mastic mesh, another layer of rubberized membrane, a layer of 12m plastic and fasten drainage board to grade with termination straps and concrete anchors. Remove and replace existing weeping tile system with a new 4″ perforated weeping tile with filter sock and cover with gravel.

On interior, break open existing concrete floor and excavate sump basin at a dimension of approximately 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 3ft. Line perimeter of basin with filter cloth and drill 1/2” holes around complete perimeter of basin. Install basin and surround with 3/4“ clear gravel.

Install a 1/3hp oil cooled sump pump and connect pump exhaust line. Connect fresh weeping tile system to sump basin. Reinstall concrete floor. Backfill and power tamp dirt. Remove and dump all debris. All labour and materials are included.
