Excavate exterior walls by hand and install telescopic shoring to interior of joist work and shore up brick line with angle iron. Once structure is secured, excavate by hand to frost depth and remove existing foundation walls within repair area. Repair any damaged wooden joist work with fresh sistered timber and pour fresh concrete footing at frost depth.

Once footing is cured, rebuild foundation walls with 10” block from base of footing to underside of existing joist work and fill cores of block work. Once complete, parge fresh foundation walls and let cure. Once cured, prime foundation wall and apply rubberized membrane waterproofing.

Fasten drainage board from grade to footing. Backfill and power tamp soil within repair area and reinstall patio slabs. Remove interior shoring and remove and dump all debris. All labour and materials included.

Structural Underpinning and Footing Install (Mississauga)

Excavate underpin by hand and clean underside of footing with wire brush. Apply masonry adhesive to underside of footing. Once underpin is carved and prepared, build and install timber forms to accommodate a positive concrete adhesion to the underside of existing footings (non-grout, overflow method) allowing for a void-less encapsulation of existing structure to fresh underpin.

Form up proposed concrete footing and fill forms with 25 MPa concrete until full and install needle vibrator. Once cured, remove timber forms.

Remove all loose obstructions in way of repair areas.

Break open existing concrete floor and excavate sump basin at a dimension of approximately 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 3ft. Line perimeter of basin with filter cloth and drill 1/2” holes around complete perimeter of basin. Install basin and surround with 3/4“ clear gravel.

Install a 1/3hp oil cooled sump pump and connect pump exhaust line. Reinstall concrete floor. Remove and dump all debris.

Remove all debris and obstructions in way of repair areas. Lay down tarps and dig down to footing by hand in specified repair areas.

Repair all cracks and masonry voids in foundation wall below grade. Prime wall and apply hydroshield rubberized membrane to repair area. Add a layer of mastic mesh, another layer of hydroshield rubberized membrane, a layer of 12m plastic and fasten drainage board to grade with termination straps and concrete anchors.

Replace weeping tile system within repair areas and cover with 6″ of 3/4″ clear gravel. Install fresh vertical drains in window wells and fasten new window wells to foundation walls. Backfill and power tamp dirt. Cover new drains in window wells with 3/4″ clear gravel and level.

On the interior, break open existing concrete floor and excavate sump basin at a dimension of approximately 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 3ft. Line perimeter of basin with filter cloth and drill 1/2” holes around complete perimeter of basin. Install basin and surround with 3/4“ clear gravel. Install a 1/3hp oil cooled sump pump and connect pump exhaust line.

Reinstall concrete floor. Backfill exterior. Remove and dump all debris.

Ultra-Deep Outside Basement Waterproofing with Parging (Mississauga)

Strip sod and store nearby. Excavate proposed drywell installation area approximately 4′ square by 5′ deep. Dig trench by hand to connect drainage line. Line pit with filtercloth. Install weeping tile coils. Fill remaining void with 3/4″ clear gravel.

Connect PVC hardpipe to downspout. Fold filtercloth over top of pit. Add soil to surface and put back sod. Dispose of excess soil. Rake jobsite level and dispose of debris.

Concrete Block Foundation and Footing Installation (Mississauga)

Excavate rear backyard to depth of existing structure and expose complete rear existing foundation wall. Once complete access is opened and secure, excavate footings around proposed perimeter of new addition.

Form and pour fresh footings with 25mpA concrete and connect new footings to existing structure with engineer specified rebar/lock detail. Once concrete is installed, float footings level. Once cured, begin blockwork installation with 10” cinderblock around complete perimeter of cured footings. Install horizontal mesh into joints of blockwork every second course and connect fresh blockwork into existing structure with block-lock anchoring system (Note: blockwork construction shall not exceed 4ft height per day).

Complete all blockwork installations around perimeter of fresh footings with x4 lintel and window installations in proposed locations. Once blockwork is completed and cured, parge exterior with S-type masonry. Once cured, apply liquid foundation coating and fasten platon drainage board from footing depth of new walls to approximately 4“ above grade. Install a complete 4” perforated weeping tile system around perimeter and cover with 8“ of 3/4” gravel.

Connect fresh weeping tile system into the existing structures’ weeping tile system. Install a steel lintel into existing rear foundation wall and sawcut new rear basement entrance. Remove and dump all debris. All labour and materials included. All works completed to engineers specifications.

Remove all loose obstructions in way of repair areas. Break concrete 18″ back from foundation walls around the complete perimeter of repair area. Dig down to footings and remove debris.

Drill 1/2″ holes in cavities of blockwork (if applicable) and fasten drainage board to foundation wall using concrete anchors. Install a fresh 4″ perforated weeping tile system with filtercloth and connect to existing weeping tile.

Break open existing concrete floor and excavate sump basin at a dimension of approximately 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 3ft. Line perimeter of basin with filtercloth and drill 1/2” holes around complete perimeter of basin. Install basin and surround with 3/4“ clear gravel.

Install a 1/3hp oil cooled sump pump and connect pump exhaust line to drain into sump pit in next room.

Connect fresh weeping tile system into new sump pit. Cover weeping tile with 3/4″ gravel and reinstall concrete floor.

Remove and dump all debris. All labour and materials included.
